So things are coming along now, the engine is back in and bolted, the brakes are all back in just need bleeding, still got a lot to.do bit its coming along nicely ¦:) interior is pretty much done and I managed to track down the original steering wheel so thats back in ¦] x

So I'm learning as I got along but am doing ok [ ask anyone who knows me I have no engine knowledge!] But iv managed to work out the wipers, do the rear wiring, put the fog light and boot light on, fit the carb, and a few other bits ¦] pics will be uploaded later x

I wish i could track down some of my old Mini's One of them was only sorned earlier this year so has to be somewhere right?

So here's the other day when we was sorting all the breaks out....and you can see the dodgy paint in the engine bay someone's done ¦ they got it everywhere, inside the car, outside the car, all over the front!! X

Tonight iv spent the last half hour doing connections on the wiring loom where someone decided to just cut it off where it goes into the dash !! [ there all the rear light wires etc ] x

So everything is now connected, exhaust is one, but I think she needs a tune up as she just won't fire up, there seems to be no spark! So shes booked in next Wednesday to have a quick overhaul and tune up and fingers crossed be ready for her mot! The only thing left to do is bleed the brakes and put the front seats in and find a dash liner and I think she's about ready ¦:) oh and I love the fact I turned 25 this year as now my insurance is £150 for the year instead of £280 a month!! Xx

Shes alive!!!! ...... Well kind.of. she started up
and sounded purdy too but the only thing that puzzled me is she wouldn't turn off when you turned the key??? Does anyone know why this would be? We had to starv her of oxygen to stop her in the end lol xx

Typical woman never knows when to ........Oh dear tin hat on! 

Check the 'run' position of your ignition switch is turning off. May be permanently live, battery wont last long like that.

Worked it out well jay did somethinf about the wire to the coil.lol bit atleast she starts,stops,and is tuned and my god she sounds better than she ever has and the 850 engine sounds better than her old 998 can't wait to mot her and get on the road woop woop haha xXx
