Hi Guys.  My uncle is currently helping clear a field and barns with approximately 150+ cars on it.  He has uncovered a few Minis and is about to get me some pictures across of the rest.

Here is the first one he found.  Would I be right in thinking it would be a Mk1,  van or pickup?  I am only basing this guess on the steel front grill.

Looks like a van or pick up, or even a MK1 with a van style grille.

Keep the pictures coming, are they coming, are they to be sold then? I would be interested in a van, pick up or clubman.

Let me know, as I'm as only up the road in Didcot

Regards
Kris

Actually I think I can see a rear window so it's not a pick up, nice numberplate too.

Hi ibby4585,  unfortunately I think they are in Somerset

I was originally asked If I could deal with all the mini's  or they are all going to go for scrap! eeeek...   So I briefed my uncle on recognising older minis and he is scouting the site.

unfortunately I don't have the capability to transport them all or store them.  So I have still not figured out how shifting them will work.

Now there is limited time on this and once the site is opened up he suspect the local travelers will be in and clearing it under the night skies

I'm sure we could store a few between us, if needed I could help you go down to the site and source a few good ones to try and save.

Let me know, always willing to help, it would be a shame to lose them.

I will send you a pm.

I'm sure there are quite a few of us on here who could squeeze one more in to ensure they are saved from the scrappy. When do you think there will be more pictures plus potential price / dates for stuff to be moved ...

I agree Kris,  I think looking at other pictures that the b post at window level is to narrow.  I am thinking it is a saloon with pickup grill.

Ok, well the idea is to sort out some money to the poor bereaved widow, while helping clear some of her land.  The problems will be tying it all up with removing required cars by the scrappy in an order that I /w we can get in to the minis as they become accessible.  I will make a call tonight as I quite fancy the Mk1 in first post.  So I will need to finish or get rid of the one I have just started.

I understand there are at least 4 others, not as old and I heard maybe 1 bare shell.  I am hoping for more pictures of other cars tonight

I hope they can be saved.

Is there anything else in the barn that is particularly rare or old? Surely there would be cause to save other's too?

I think it could be a saloon as there looks to be a window, it could be a van with windows fitted though.

I'd be interested in one.

That MK1, is a saloon, with van grill. You can see that it has curved window corners, not seen on travellers.

Could be an early prototype? Depending on numberplate.

Is there a clubman? :D
