Hi all , about to years ago i brought some 2 up 2 down spot light brackets and 4,  7 inch spot lights ( Lucas ) . I went to fit them and the wife says what are you doing Christopher YOUR NOT FITTING THEM  it will look stupid . Is there anyone else who thinks they look stupid . Please bare in mind my mini is running 13x7 inch wheels with sport pack arches so I think it will work .

honest opinions welcome .

I persoanlly have never liked 2 up 2 down. I don't like any spot lights on minis though

Your mini, your choice! What does the rest of the car look like? Can look too 'try hard' on the wrong mini.

4 across would look best in my opinion!

Either none, or two or four across, I personally only like the 2 up 2 downs on clubbys.

Plus 2 up 2 downs are very rally, and I would say thats not the style of yours, which would suit the more civilised traditional style of spots

Two Lucas SLR700 would look super and really 'period'. Four, in any configuration, tends to say 'make believe rally car', but that might be what an individual wants and if so good luck to him/her.

When running 4 on my real rally cars I run them in a line across the grille, but that is personal preference as I believe it makes it easier to remove them at service points by undoing the 3 bolts which fit the bar to the brackets plus the four lamp steadies and the multi-way socket.

Personally I would say either the four across or none at all as your mini looks really good as it is and adding spotlights may spoil the look you already have. However it's your mini so do whatever you are told by the wife. I bought my sportspack as it is and thought the spots were over the top but my wife likes them so they are staying as is.

Fit as many lights as you want dude. Your car. Do whatever makes you happy, tell the wife it makes it safer to drive now the evenings are rolling in...
