Very nice and not dissimilar to the one I saw at Moffat classic car show in June.

Where is the Mk 3 S? It looks like a Mk 2 to me.

Yeah, looks like MK2 to me too.

I love everything about these...apart from those headlights.  Just my opinion, but I really think they ruin what is otherwise a stunning car.

Definitely a late Mk2.......I believe the headlights were from a Facel Vega, these (or the 1970's Mercedes headlights) were often fitted to coachbuilt Mini's in the 1970's.

Headlights are the catch here for me too, otherwise it's tremendous. Those arches look ace! Obviously it's not a straightforward thing to do, but is there a reason why the tailgate conversion was never more widely available? Does anyone offer it today still? I guess with enough money anything is possible, just wondered if anyone had an 'off the shelf' sort of thing available
...

I think the Facel Vega lights look better than the Merc ones, bet they're a sod to find if you broke one though :-)

I've got a pair of the Merc lights waiting until I can find a suitable car to put them on. They're odd but I really like them.
