I love vermillion! Can I ask what the paint code is under your bonnet? Mine looks the same colour but not 100% it's vermillion.

Anyway, on oversills, you can still use those panels just cut them across the flutes :)

I'm in Andover Hampshire. You?

I'm pretty sure it is vermillion, looks really orange in some pictures and red in others. But checking the paint code I can't find anything on my vin plates that match up :/

I'm in St. Helens north west Matt, I'll have a look under the bonnet when I'm home. This is my second 79 vermillion mini. I had one when I was 16. Used to drive it around the block with my mates in it. Never drove a mini since (34 now)

That's ok, I bought a cheap can of vermillion and it does look very similar (I'm guessing the difference being new vs old paint and it was a cheap £3.99 can from the range) see my thread for a picture.

Had much chance to make any progress?

Hello mate just make sure shell is very well braced up inside before removing half the floor. Also you may struggle working under the car. Might be easier to fully strip it and flip the shell onto its side and get better access. Hope this helps!!!
