Been looking at that cheap Acer from Tesco. Does anyone know what version of Windows it runs?
The all usually run Windows 8 these days but if you pop up a link to it, ill take a look for you mate.

I'd suggest putting it in for repair to be honest if it's only 5 years old.Just agree a max price to go to,say £100 which should cover most things.My local PC repair shop charged me £48 to ressurect my 8 year old Dell(corrupt hard drive) and it works as good as new now.Worth considering.
