I have had a mess trying to line the passenger wheel as straight as possible, but no matter how much I adjust track rod end it still pokes out to the left as sitting in car.
I have aligned the steering rack, and set the steering wheel straight also.I know it will need properly tracking up, but I cannot seem to get the bugger to turn in more/straight.

It's not meant to be straight, the wheels have to toe out. Do you know the settings you are aiming for? Are you going for standard or something else?

Ok, so when you say you have aligned the steering rack do you mean with the centering plug on the passenger side?

Yes. I opened the plug, dropped a drill bit in to lock it straight, and fitted the steering wheel back on to make sure the rack is at least aligned.

It has had negative camber bottom arms and adjustable tie bars fitted, but never been tracked yet.

Did you fit longer track rod ends?

Are you running out of thread when trying to set the tracking?

Longer ones are only 5mm longer

It is a strange one, as the drivers side seems straight, i thought the wing may have been welded on duff.
I have not noticed the thread length to be honest, but just got the lengths after a search so will check that out.
(Standard total length is 80mm of track rod end, longer version for lower suspension is 95mm total complete length)

What happens when you try to adjust them?

What are you using to set the initial tracking?  If it's just your eye, then I doubt you'll get much further.

If you can rig up a piece of wood with two vertical pieces on either end, where one end has a bit that touches the rim on one side, and a gap on the other side, then measure the distance between rim edge and wood, on the front of the wheel and the back of the wheel, then do some calcs and get your toe measurement.

Tricky to explain it properly, :D, can get a pic if you want.

If you adjust the tracking so you're nearly at the end of the thread does the wheel still toe out (front edge stick out) and if so, by how much?

Have you got the wheels on the ground or is the car jacked up?
