How do I make the blue bit smaller?
It's half the page on my desktop, and 1/4 on my laptop
Reduce the width of your web browser

It's always a compromise up as what we need is a really wide and short image, however people don't take pictures like that. The only other option is a large amount of crop and then you can't see what the banner is meant to be.

Thanks for spotting that, it was also affecting the search! Should be fixed now and the snow should fall behind the logo so you can click it
The front page isn't likely to return anytime soon, partly because there isn't anything of purpose to go on it.
