Hello all! :proud:

Not entirely sure how to begin...so I'll throw myself straight in!

My dad bought a bright yellow mini 1000 a few years back... from a meet in Donnington....and I loved it! Wanted one ever since!

Finally plucked up the courage to do something about it! I'd love to do one up, preferably a clubman!

Only one small drawback...

*clueless about restoration*

I'm ambitious but rubbish, lol. Is this an utterly ridiculous idea or should I go for it?! I'd be alright with a bit of guidance I rekon...books, manuals and the like.

I intend it to be an on going thing and may take a while....seeing as I'm a student and funds may be...shall we say...lacking!

Anyway, great forum....learnt lots already simply from browsing!

Cheers!

PS...is there a specific model of clubman that I should look to restore?

Cheers! Yeh, I didn't used to be a fan of the whole square front it has to be said....but now I'm older and obviously much wiser, (lol), I think they look great! Loadsa character to them.

I'll keep you posted on the search. Just wondering, what are the main things to look for when I buy one...obviously rust in the usual places, sub frames and the like. Is there anything else that's vital and alot of work to repair if it's gone wrong?

Sorry for all the questions!...still learning the basics!
