That was a sod to do mainly down to how thin the floor is anyway. Really regretted not getting Will to buy a complete boot floor panel.

I spent a lot of time with a hammer and dolly trying to get it looking half decent. I'm so happy that I will be replacing the complete thing on my clubby. None of that faffing around.

i can see what a new full boot panel would be best, but way out of my budget. Will see how i get on, once the subframe is removed and see how bad the rot is. If the hol but is knackered, then it will be an option :)

With the subbie off you will more than likely find two more places of rot on the boot floor. There is two small plates fitted either side of the car just by the inner arch. This is where a felt pad was attached at the factory. These attract crud and will lead to rust.

i had to do this on both sides so along with the boot repair i would have been quicker to replace the whole bloody floor.

Plenty of practise, two full mini body restos, mine to do very shortly plus i have been playing with a welder since the mid 80's. Numerous cars of all types old and new.
