I think all of you have gone too far on this. Yes burnard helped the guy out, but no he was not being rude to the guy he was just telling the guy politely so i dont see any reason why admin have to get involved and ban him?!

I mean come on this forum needs to realise the difference between rudeness and being polite as they obviously dont know the difference.

meow

Whenever there is a post on here about a BMW, there are replies such as "get lost, this is for classic minis" etc.

I have never seen replies like that before..

personally (and i know other staff do the same) I just make a polite comment to the OP that this is a forum for classic mini and his technical questions etc would be better suited over at MINI2.

All we are trying to do is keep this forum as a classic mini forum. There are already forums for MINI and this does not need to be another.

It was established as a classic mini forum and should remain that way

Because the same faces keep appearing and stirring it all up

Perhaps something mentioning classic minis could be put up the top or made to come up in the search engines , just to try to direct people before they join and post ?

Either way its no great problem to politely point people in the right way is it ?

Which is exactly what happens.

I can't recall having ever seen a rude response towards a MINI owner. we are not trying to force them out as members because anybody is welcome here. They just need to be made aware that This is a classic Mini forum. If you don't have any interest in the classic mini then really what is the point being a member??

I'm assuming he has been banned as he hasn't posted anything since, I know burnard and i know he would of responded by now.

He has been banned, but it was nothing to do with this thread. If you know him, I am sure he fill you in with the details.

I do know Burnard and he doesn't even know why he has been banned.

I've been on this forum for a few years now and I have noticed a significant difference in TMF team behaviour.

It used to be a fun and busy forum which now seems to be slowly dying due to silly arguments and unfair banning of loyal members who pay membership to help this forum stay alive.

I'm not starting an argument I'm just a loyal member of this forum who is upset and wants its to go back to the happy atmosphere it used to perceive.

There were several complaints from members and it was dealt with by admin. You can PM Sonikk and ask him if you want to know, but all I know is that he was very rude to several members. I don't know if Sonikk will explain the details to you as it was bewteen admin an Burnard but you can try. We all want a happy and fun forum, that doesn't happen when one member is rude to others repeatedly.
