I`ve just rang the camp site and the reason their fully booked is that they have removed all the caravans from the smugglers part, so its going to be a little cramped there! Is anyone using another particular camp site as an over flow? I would hate for my Mini to be alone

I was planning on just driving down and winging it....
Did that last year. I'll just take a tent and see what happens....

Ive spoken with the company yesterday and they have advised me to call back in April to check who hasn't paid as a few usually dont - otherwise there are loads of sites close by apparently :)

They've put in loads of electric hook ups, re-done the showers/toilets.
Ian, the new owner told us they'd spent £1,000,000 so far with another £500,000 to come before season starts.
The price of trade stands has been cut to less than half, so we're hoping to use the extra space to get more traders.
The club is planning various activities and we hope that we can build this show year on year.
CooperLooper is meeting the owners again tomorrow, any ideas and questions please, I'll pass them on.

Put me down for this! If there's space in the work calendar, that is!

Is it close to the actual show site? And mind if I ask how much you paid?

Nowhere tends to be particulatly cheap in Newquay, but Park Dean tends to be really expensive. It's a big family holiday park resort with lots of facilities and entertainment, so if you stay thete for the Riv Run, then you'll be paying for stuff that your probably not going to use. I've never actually done the Riv Run, but when I go Surfing in Newquay each summer I usually stay at Porth Beach, which is a more basic camp site, but with good facilities and is really close to Trevelgue where the Riv Run is held.http://www.porthbeach.co.uk/

Yeah good point, it is a family/couples only site, which could be an issue I suppose.

If my memory serves me right its £289 for seven of us in an 8 birth caravan which including electric, bedding ect and no restriction on the number of cars! No longer than 10mins from the other camp site. Hope that helps
