I love how we are jizzing over £1.08p/litre.

4 years ago I was wincing when it went from 62p to 70p/litre.

Eh?? So where was it 62p per litre four years ago then?

Me too....... he last time I saw that price it was in the 90's.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. The fuel protest/crisis where the lorry drivers blockaded the refineries and all the forecourts ran out of petrol, was over 14 years ago now, and that was all because the average price of fuel had reached 80p per litre!

Ah, senile moment, must have been 2007 (bit more than 4 years ago LOL) when I remember it going up, then jump down massively then shoot up. Was when I was driving to the British GP, the year Kimi won the title.

It was still in the 70p zone - a time when I was so carefree of the prices I accidentally put half a tank of diesel in my petrol car, and still got it all the way from Bournemouth to Chichester before it konked out.

Deary me.

I can remember driving home with my dad as a kid (in his old Vauxhall cavalier) and he was moaning bitterly about fuel being 89.9 and how can it keep going up lol. If only he knew....

108.9 for unleaded and 114.9 for diesel here. Put £20 in as it'll probably be cheaper in a few days so didn't bother filling it. Was thinking earlier that any other year what with duty being frozen for so long, I would expect the government to take the opportunity to raise duty in the budget in a few months time but with this being an election year we'll probably escape that too :-)

I remember the steam coming out of peoples ears when petrol went up to a pound a gallon!

I saw £1.22/L on the way home, good for here :-)

I remember when diesel was cheaper than petrol. Then it used to be 2p per litre more expensive.

No doubt some refining excuse.

I thought that happened due to a change/increase in fuel duty on diesel??

That wouldn't surprise me. Thieving bar stewards.
