I haven't read all the thread so may have missed it, but have you tightened that nut up on the Protech shock since that picture? It doesn't look like the thread's engaging with the nylon insert in the nut all that much.

Yeh, all done. I gave feedback to smiffys bits too. The bolt Is 5mm too short.

Relay wired up for the charge cooler pump. The trigger signal is from the Ecu's ignition feed.

My AEM boost gauge also arrived! This was wired into the original auxiliary gauge wiring behind the dash and works perfectly!

Still a few more bits to go!

The ever growing list of things to do is slowly deminishing!

Met up with Dave Jaguar from YouTube a week ago and he gave me one of his tshirts, I managed to turn it into a seat cover!

LWaMjBQ.jpg

Tested out the dash to see if all lights were working. I've replaced them all with LED's as I don't have to squint when looking at them in the dark!

Oj0pDmJ.jpg

Also managed to neaten up the engine bay a little, although I was let down by a company from ebay that provided me with a 45 degree elbow instead of a 60 degree for my inlet piping, so thats delayed it until the new year as they rang and told me they didn't have any stock of what i wanted.. nice.

IENFVq5.jpg

And blew off the layer of dust that was slowly building on it.

On the plus side of everything, my car has been confirmed as being part of the Pride of Ownership at Bingley Hall! Super stoked about it!

Looking Ace Steve!  A real credit it to you, as above, looks so right, oem+.

Im sure you'll know already , but to just check before you put the binnacle surround back on the dash, that the volts bulb needs to be a filament bulb rather than led, for the alternator to charge.

I'm pretty sure the oil pressure and charge warning lights are the original bulbs! Will take a look! Thanks for the heads up mate.

Right, few bits and pieces to sort before the end of the year! Got the car out to give it a good look over in the light, then the dreaded leak test O_O The door seals at the top allowed ingress, however with a bit of pursuading with my knee and strategic pulling, its all sorted! Main thing is she will survive a downpour!

And gave both cars a wash whilst I had the chance!

Waited until it was dark to give the lighting a full test and beam check. All work nicely now.

And that's it for 2018! Considering a year ago she looked like this!! I'm happy with what's been achieved.

So a happy and prosperous new year to all!!

What an excellent restoration, the attention to detail is amazing, I particularly like the stance it has, the wheels / arches and ride height  make it really stand out.

May 2019 provide you with many opportunities to show it off.
