it has a 3:44 in standard so I think it should be ok, and as for distributer I am going to use one of swiftunes csi 45d distributers with the adjustable advance curves

on the off chance I went to a neighbour down the road who has a mini to see if he had a hif 38, he said no but he had a hs4, ive literally just got back but the carb requires some bits putting together on it, he only charged me 15 with new waxstat, this means the choke assembly needs to be put together, and I have no idea! also the new waxstat has to be put on, I have no idea how to do this either, and I can not see how the choke actually works? all it does is moves the accelerator a little bit!

The choke also pulls the needle downwards to make the mixture richer for the cold start.

Look for SU re-building on Google.

ah ok done that, but there is nothing holding the jet in to the bottom of the carb, it just pushes in!? wont it just fall out!

ah ok done that, but there is nothing holding the jet in to the bottom of the carb, it just pushes in!? wont it just fall out!
