US Customs and Border Protection destroyed an "illegally imported and unsafe" 2000 Mini Cooper. In general, Motor vehicles less than 25 years old must comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) in order to be imported into the United States.

"Operation Atlantic" pairs U.S CPB and the United Kingdom, as partners for investigation and criminal enforcement to reduce International vehicle fraud. This Austin Mini Cooper was proved violative, was seized, and is being destroyed.

If it was mine and it had been nicked off me I'd be glad to see it crushed especially if it was at the expense of the theives rather than a duped buyer. We've been round in circles with all this crap about how do we know it's been nicked? We did it in the 70s blah blah but it's clear cut, as soon as some plank drilled the vin plate rivets off and threw away the V5 before putting the 1988 identity on it then it became a scrapper in waiting.

If anyone does not like it or has seen it before then it is quite simple......there is no need to watch it !

Repost comments are also pointless as the you tube video was not in the original thread but embedded in other links within, which will quickly become long lost in Mini Chat to new members or those who missed it the first time around.
