I look after a race car one, and I really do like them!
Check for signs of damage to the rear torsion bar, as if its damaged, the cost and time of replacing them would out way the cost of the car!

Is the race car one running the original 2.0 na engine? :)
And I know it's abit different being a race car but what's the maintanance like?

Yeah, all original engine. Few minor tweaks, go well and puts better cars to shame.
Maintanence is no different to most sports cars. There is very little room to work at the back end. That's the only issue, and major work required the rear end to be dissembled!

Hmmm looks like I've done the deal!!! Lol I will post some photos as soon as I take some. I'm genuinely really nervous because you don't really know how good or bad a car is until it goes wrong if it goes wrong..... Lol but It has a genuine 60,000 miles on the clock with mot to back it up! :)
Good call.Future classic still at sensible money. One of the first cars to have galvanised steel body so rust not an issue. In fact i've never seen a rotten one.

That is very nice!!
Do you want to look after mine as well? ;) haha
And the only things I have found wrong with it so far is the clutch feels very very heavy.
And it's got a slight leak from the fuel pipe that goes from the pump to the tank. Other than that it is very nice :)

Needs the odd bits and bobs done to it, and does anybody know roughly what I should value this at? As the insurance put me on classic and said they would do an agreed valuation? But honestly don't know what it's worth?
