Looking to upgrade the headlights in my Austin Mini Mayfair 1988, was wondering what the brightest road legal lights are and where to but them. Thanks.

A pair of h4 halogen replacement headlamps, 60% brighter bulbs and a pair of relays to deal with the wiring side of things.

If you already have halogen light bulbs then I would suggest a set or osram night breaker plus bulbs, you can get them from your local eurocar parts pretty easy to fit as well and soo much brighten than a standard halogen bulb

Do you have halogen now ? Cibie have a good 7" headlight unit with 55w bulbs, to stay legal, some  don't like the 7" wipac units as the reflectors are not as good as the Cibie but there half price. Are you talking about extra driving lights though asking about the place to fit ?

I have nightbreakers in my classic and the lights are better than my 2013 Cooper S, which also has nightbreakers.

The spots on my MPI Cooper are awesome on full beam. Never had an issue with the standard headlights, and I do a lot of night time countryside driving

I have also fitted uprated xenon style h4 bulbs but have managed to get these fancy led side lights:

Looks great, were they difficult to fit?

Not at all, the LEDs are a part of the headlight so a straight swap of the old unit, then just drop a new bulb into the centre . Looking at changing the xenon bulbs for LED CREE soon too.

If the headlamp unit was tested for E marking with a filament H4 bulb in it then fitting any other kind of bulb at all is not strictly legal anyway.
