Well In my case I had Falkern 145's on Standard Rover minilites and then replaced them with Falkern 165's, so like for like quality wise. I certainly wasn't driving on the "ragged edge" on the 145's either, they were unerving enough when just pootling down country roads at moderate speeds, I wouldn't dared to have tried driving remotely progressivley on them!

On the back I found ' PWC'
'4N11A' 'CH' H.T' '10301 xxx'
And eventually '4.5B X12 X 35'
Dont know where the rest of the nummers stands for lol

That means 4.5" wide, 12" diameter and offset of +35.

I don't see any reason why you'd put 145 tyres on when you could have a set of A008 Yokos. Unless of course you have 3.5" wide steels and nothing else will fit that is!

They dont sell yokos here :(
Im only asking because its original like that, and I ve read lots of people say ' 10 inch with balloon tyres is the best because of was designed like that' And I thought 145/70 would be closer too that than 165/60?

They sell Yokos here, but it's often cheaper to buy them in the UK and ship them here! I'm sure it would be much cheaper getting a set delivered to Belgium?

The comparison between 145 and 165 tyres isn't really valid in my opinion unless you have the exact same tread and compound on the two sizes. Seeing as the 145 tyres are normally budget or hard compound, they don't compare to the 165 Yokos. The only time I'd buy another set of 145 tyres would be for the 3.5" original steels.

There is the same amount of rubber on the sidewall on each too..

The vbest I can find are falkens for 145 .

Im using DUnlop SP sport 165 atm, don't know how good those are. ALl I know is that the steering is quite heavy ( even taking in account thatit doesn't have a servo etc).

Servo won't affect steering ... That is the brakes.

Are tyres correctly inflated? Smaller steering wheel or original?

Servo will affect the steering, but I forgot that a servo steer is called power steering in English :D

I got a normal diameter steering wheel , tyres are always around 2.5 bar of im not mistaking

Oh, considering age of the tyre, it seems that my current tyres aren't really good anymore ( still plenty of thread left though)

but because of the age.. DOt code :  DOT BB DR RNV 368

2.5 BAR is far too much pressure! When you say the steering is quite heavy, is this mainly when parking ect, it should feel very light compared to most cars ,when on the move, but heavy when trying to park for example. It's only because minis don't have power steering.
