Just bought this today, pick it up on Sunday.

I took a punt on a badly advertised mini, which I thought looked similar to a Special. So went to look at it today and it is a 1979 Mini 1100 Special.

It's not been used since 2012 so needs work for the mot, tiny spots of rust bubbling on the drivers door and and passenger cill seam but pretty good to be honest.

Bad parts:

Oversills!! :-(
Missing the console, steering wheel, front badge and exacton wheels.
Vinyl roof although in great condition has faded in parts

Haven't a clue what I'm going to do with it to be honest.

First plan is to get it running and mot'd and then do the L2b in it and maybe advertise it for sale down in Brighton.

Here are some pics

Not bad looking, shame about the wheels though.

The correct wheels aren't hard, or expensive to get though. The console and under dash tray however.....

Thanks for the comments. Yeah wheels I'm not bothered about, I can get them anytime.

It has the glovebox undertray, but yes the centre console is going to be a nightmare to get.

Looks good, I think the revos suit the look. I think you can buy the consoles new from abs motorsport.

Replied in your wanted ad

I may be wrong but I think the rear badge should be MINI 1100
