I am looking to get my wooden steering wheel refurbished as it looks like the previus owner varnished it with a halibut!! Can anyone recommend somewhere in or around Bristol where I can get this done?

Had you thought of doing it yourself? There are a few You Tube videos on it.

Yes I thought about that but may take it and have a professional job done if I can find someone to do it ,perhaps a carpenter?

I would think a wooden furniture restorer or French polisher would be up to the job. If the wood isn't split, it wouldn't be too hard to sand and restain and varnish yourself with spray varnish. You would have to weigh up the cost of professional refurb against buying a new one.

Yes I thought the professional route may work out more expensive than a new one .Cheerz
