that covers all VWs though, from the totally crap to the slightly less crap ;-) it's a big forum for sure but a very unfriendly one in my experience. If you aren't 'scene' then you aren't made to feel welcome. Whereas TMF seems very open to all sorts of things being done to our little cars, some people don't get on as you would expect from any big forum but on the whole there is nowhere better in my opinion.

Scooby net and evo forum are both not English sites,, sooooo we can safely say we are the largest forum in the uk for a car! we've won that one surely!

The MLR is completely UK owned, ScoobyNet was started over here and then bought by an American company

You could see what the likes of ranking.com has to say about us and the other contenders.

62,473rd in the world, just outside the top 10,000 for the UK.

MLR is UK owned. If you're going to post stuff like that please make sure it's fact rather than guessing or in this case challenging someone that has been active on it since the beginning.

alright mate? why the unkind tone? it was a simple mistake I don't think ive offended anyone apart from you obliviously.... it was only meant to be a light hearted thread showing how large the support for classic minis is. I only guessed they weren't as they didn't have .co.uk next to them.. sorry for my lack of knowlage!

The MLR (Evo forum) and Scoobynet are bigger and more active.

As an Impreza driving mini owner I'm on scoobynet and (obviously!) here. Much more of a lurker on both though. I'd never respond to a post like this on there, it seems a lot less social. TMF seems to be one of the few forums I'm on where people are actively welcomed and things seem to be a lot nicer all the time. I like it here, it's nice :)

People just move on, I have been very active in target shooting, clay shooting, hovercraft and classic bikes but not so much now. Most people come on for a while then drift away, a few stay forever, tis the way of the Internet forum (and clubs for that matter).
