so as you guessed by the title its going to be a vtec mini
first a bit of history...
when i was 18 i had a couple 998 minis.
from here i went 1275...
then 1275 rally cam head etc...
from there metro turbo lump...
to a MSPD 1293 full spec motor...
then came the t2 conversion (can you see a pattern yet?)
and now im at VTEC level - more power!!!!
i first had this plan in 2010 when i got hold of a written off civic mb6, then i went travelling.
i got hold of a pretty mint cooper when i returned but it was too nice to cut and chop so i traded it for a flippy city and a wad of cash:
shortly after id got this the flukiest thing happened, something i had craved for years, a full set of compomotive wheels became available... it was just meant to be:

from here i was able to get the engine in for a trial fit:
...and crack on with the wiring, all 20 hours of it!
plus inbetween all that a couple of other bits like fuel mods on the tank and de-immobilising the ecu:
quick story... at this point i needed an intake as the b18c4 one sweeps down and an upright one is required, i found one from a company on ebay called 'racingfactory_poland' who i DO NOT recommend buying from, they sent me 1 down and the flange was all wrong, took a month of debate for them to accept they were wrong then a further month to be sent another of which was also wrong -what the hell. however with this i was able to mark out the bulkhead for modding:
with the box in i was able to mount the ecu and check my wiring lengths:
which kind of brings me up to my current phase of making sure everything fits and has clearance etc.
