I recently brought a Austin mini city e auto. It hasn't got the original 998cc engine but it's got a 1275cc engine which was installed over 5 years ago. On my v5c slip it says 1275cc but when I type it in on the insurance websites it comes up with 998cc. Because of the engine change , is it classed as modified?
Might be a stupid question , but I don't have a clue
Thanks

Yeah I'm afraid so, anything that isn't standard on a car when it was made is classed as a modification. And you'll find it will be considerably more expensive to insure than an original 1275... :/ insurance company's are suckers lol
