I,ve got them on my mk2, you don,t have to drill holes in the door.

But he will have to drill holes through the glass and sacrifice the ability to put the windows down. 

 

Or I am I missing something?  :shy:

On MK1/2's they had sliding windows ;). No use on a MK3 onwards. The mirrors are mounted trough the sliding window catch holes, already there.

But what I don't get is, of they are mounted to the front sliding window catch, when the owner has the window slid back, the mirror will be useless?!

the view through those mirrors actually gets better as you slide the window back.
