Difficult to price. Much of the work to produce a race mini Shell complete but the bulkhead is butchered with the turbo box. Road V5 available - I'd say 3K

I would think you would be lucky to make more than a grand, tops. It's a very limited market and it's a shell that has been cut about.

as above the cage is about a grand alone!!

I know I'm not going to be making any money on it but thought it would be worth more than a grand!?

It's a shame that it's got to go to be honest but that's life ay :(

I'd say it would be worth about a grand all together, the majority of money is in the parts.  The shell, although solid, would only be suitable for certain people, not ideal for a normal-ish road mini.

If I had a garage, it would be ideal for my K series project :(

you would pay a grand for a second hand cage with no mention of whether he has the certificate or not? (Remind me to PM you when I have any parts for sale ;-) ). Full cages tend to fetch around £400-700 second hand, a cut about shell? Perhaps £200-300 if you find someone who wants it. You also have to remember that it would need the dreaded IVA to be used on the road and as a highly modified shell wouldn't be eligible for a lot of Motorsport disciplines as most are very prescriptive on what is and isn't alowed.

Unfortunately Clive is about right with the valuation.

That's the thing with this game, parts like cages cost a lot new but it's a different story when it comes to re-sale.

The bulkhead turbo box is the stumbling block-shame really. The rest of the mods (Multipoint cage, Tubed rear end, seat cutback and companion boxes removed) are standard Mini Se7en/Miglia mods. But what the fudge would I know, Eh?

What I do know is I wouldn't take a 1K taking the piss offer for it.

It is an approved fia safety device cage. I have the paper work for it plus it has the appropriate stickers attached.

Say the cage is worth £600 second hand, shell worth £300 (I think that's a lil low) there's a lot more than £100 worth of spares with it!

Why would it need a IVA test by the way?

Scaremongering. My honest opinion, take valuations on this forum as a pinch of salt, they're rarely ever accurate.
