Spi To Mpi Swap - Rev Counter Issue

Best Answer Mini Tartan , 26 March 2015 - 04:44 AM

There is an adjustment on the MPI counter to make it work with the non MPI engines. Maybe the SPI rev counter can be adjusted too.

Hi,

I Swapped the spi engine to mpi engine in my 1995 mini tartan LE.  Everything works fine except the rev counter.

How to fix this??

Thanks in advance.

What coil are you using? The mpi one I guess? This is a wasted spark set up so will be firing twice as many times as the spi coil

There is an adjustment on the MPI counter to make it work with the non MPI engines. Maybe the SPI rev counter can be adjusted too.

Interesting! So it seems that the rev counters are the same for the SPI and MPI. The difference is in the adjustment.
