so i can screw the fuse box to body with no problem ? i left a bit of foam under it as i wasnt sure if it would cause any shorting ect

Yes you can, the fuse box was bolted directly onto the bulkhead on earlier models, as they weren't actually fitted with foam. I've also removed it from my 93 model to prevent a third fuse box from corroding.
