I have a 1992 Mini Mayfair with 12" wheels fitted I have noticed it has rubbed the paint from the inside if the wheel arch. I think it happens when I turn left

 

I have spacers fitted but they were fitted before I had new wings fitted, could the wings be out of position or could something have worn

 

any ideas

Is the wear on both sides?

If you fit new tyres it only gets worse! My minis do this, i just trim the wings slightly
