Lol, if only the 'Lazy' bit was true, just finished Bowmanising, what a nightmare, lol.
Once I get a few hours to sort out my photo's, I'll start a thread in the projects section and let you all know how Scrappy's build goes.
Just been told of a few Mini's sitting around some of the camps near me in Osnabruck so going on the hunt this weekend for the owners and see if I can sort out a small club, or see if the cars are up for grabs.

While you are out here, try running your car on the german version of Optimax, it's octane rating is '100!!'
I can feel the difference in my mini, and on this even get an extra 50 miles a tank in my Audi S4 estate, it's wicked stuff.
Where in Lincoln are you Ed, I have a house in Doddington Park.

All to do with the Cold War (which was the bit between the 2nd World War and the collapse of the Russian Superstate and Berlin Wall.So if you dont mind me asking, why are there British Squaddies in Germany?
Then it became a useful base to be able to send our troops to the Balkans and all that stuff as it was closer than the UK.
Now, I'm not sure any more, and I know the numbers out there have reduced considerably since I was there but it's a great place for large training areas to ensure our Armed Forces are still the best, most professional in the world so that they can be sent anywhere to fight other people's battles (or Tony Blair's ego trips

Do you still do EPC and EPC(A) in the Army? If so then someone with that qualification can tell you, (I did mine a long time ago).

We are still here at the moment because it still gives us a good launching point for ops, the camps and facilities are better than the camps in UK, and there are not enough spare camps in the UK to put us all in.
Things have changed alot over the last 10 years since I was here last, but it's great for getting away from it all, jump in the car and pop off to the mountains or a trip around the country. (An autobahn in a Mini doing 80 is an experience that takes getting used to, you are the slowest one there)

Oops, must have had a computer glitch, sorted it now, lol.
