Hi, I'm looking at getting a CB for London to Brighton.
Seen some kits on eBay, complete kits for only £60.
Anyone know what they're like? Or recommend another?

I'm sure Ellie will have been sorted by now given 9 months has passed. New ones on ebay (a bit overpriced currently) http://www.ebay.co.u...xMAAOSwfZ1WbEuc

Thanks boys, I bought a moonraker kit, all complete with mag mount, the lot.
It's been a good buy, a dozen or so other club members have bought them since.

I should be going for my advanced to get my Dads callsign - he was a G6 - and since he passed the RSGB has reserved his callsign for me, but I can't have it until I pass my advanced... that may be a few years away LOL

I do have a CB but its somewhere up in my loft - I think - or Iv thrown it away.... can't even remember if it still works or not...

Agree, that's what I have. Midland are also very good. I run the speaker out into the aux in of my stereo (need to turn the output of the CB down a fair bit though!) and that works great. CB is fantastic for mini runs, you can tell each other when the road is clear, when cyclists are coming etc and the guy at the back can say if anyone gets caught up at lights etc. Added to that you can have some good banter. Particularly good for longer runs. Many of our club members have them. Definitely adds alot to the run when enough people on the run are using the CB.
