Whilst re-building my front subframe I have found that, bizarrely, my lower arm pin shafts are different diameters!
One will fit in the metal tubes inside standard bushes and one won't.
Does anyone know if it would be OK to remove the metal tubes from one set of bushes?
I notice that the nylon bushes don't have the metal tubes in them.

As the other guys have said.
When I have to remove the insert from the pin, to avoid damaging the pin, I file a flat across the insert, tedious and takes a few minutes, but always gives a good result.

I would say you still have a tube on the fatter one. Get it off.

You're quite right it was old insets stuck on the pin!
