That's not good at all! 60 odd euro for a tool that breaks after one use isn't exactly money well spent. I'm thinking of going splits on a welder with my brother but I won't have it before I have to tackle this job, shame really as it does seem like the easiest option.I bought the cheap blind bearing puller from ebay that comes with the slide hammer, it only lasted one bush then broke!, found the dremel slot procedure worked well. The welded bolt seems the easiest and less damaging way IF you've got a welder handy.

Sorry but a drift is the easiest if you don't have the tool.
Yes I have a welder but would not think of using it for this.
Removing and re fitting is a 5 min job. Per arm when arm is off.
Why make things more complicated.

I saw your method of doing it alright (very nice by the way) did you bend the drift yourself or is it curved to begin with?Sorry but a drift is the easiest if you don't have the tool. That's not good at all! 60 odd euro for a tool that breaks after one use isn't exactly money well spent.
