I need some new toe capped work boots/shoes but not sure what to get.  I'm on my feet most of the day, 4 days a week,Obviously they need to be comfortable and I don't mind spending a little bit on them.

Has anybody got any recommendations? I'm looking at these at the minute http://www.screwfix....CFYeWtAods2kA_A

Cheers

I have the same boot. They're very comfy and I've had them for 6 years now (not constant use mind). I dropped a wooden shelf onto my foot and it just bounced off. Would've been a broken toe otherwise :ohno:

I paid about £70 for them from Makro.

I normally go through a pair or two a year for work, tried lots of different ones now but the best I've had are Doc Martens

Iv always used dewalt boots for work and when I was on site I was on my feet 5 days a week from 7.30 till 5.00.

Think my last pair were these http://www.screwfix....n-size-10/25662

There normally the ones screwfix have in the show room. There light compared to other boots iv had so tend to be comfortable for longer.

I have a pair of normal timberland boots like the ones in your link and they are comfortable.

I use dickies super safety dealer boots, there really comfy and have lasted well, easy to get on and off due to no laces, unless ur required to have boots with laces.

Cheers guy's, I'll have a look at them. I'm just standing in one spot at a machine most of the time (7.30 to 5.30).

I'd recommend the magnum range, they're actually designed for tactical military use, but are now also used as protective footwear in other industries including various trades and many UK Police Forces & Ambulance Services. They're extremely comfortable and feel more like wearing trainers than boots, (I have to wear mine for over 12 hours at a time, in all sorts of conditions, so they need to be comfortable). There's also a variety of options in terms of leg height, safety features etc. They're generally lace up, but some also come with a side zip feature, which means you can also take them on and off quickly without using the laces.

I put in an order for new safety boots at work last week. The ones I am currently wearing are cheapies from screwfix about a year ago - no real shape or support from them.

I've just taken a gamble on the aptly named 'apprentice boot' from DeWalt. A few people around my engineering workplace have these and seem very happy. Fairly lightweight, comfortable, supportive, protective etc. black or tan colour too.

Have worn many timberland boots in the passed and never had a problem with comfort...but I can vouch for the ones you have linked too
