Hi Guys,

 

I have recently been hearing some strange noises from my drivechain. It doesn't happen with the engine running but only when it is accelerating or decelerating. It tends to be a kind of metal scraping sound on accelerating and more of a knocking sound while slowing. Is this typical of engine mounts needing replacing or is there another cause?

Hey.

 

I got time to have a good look today. It looks like the noise is all coming from the radiator cowling. The new cowling is a bit tighter than the old one it seems and when the engine rocks backwards and forwards the fan gets caught on the inside of it. I can sort this out now :)
