Pricey?

I paid about a grand for it delivered.
It is very strong
& holds 2.7 tonne.

Folds down & takes hardly any space up

I'd be interested to know how practical these are.

When using a Jack onto the subframe I always encountered an issue when trying to get an axle stand alongside in a safe stable position. These beams look a good solution I'd just like to know how practical they are with axle stands.

I can vouch for these, though again not cheap

I wouldn't be without them. They are rock steady to drive on to and you can wind them up as high as you need. Also they are well out of the way from and Axle Stand locating point. Once you have the stand located you just wind down the ramp and slide it out of the way. If you work on one side at a time just leave the other ramp in place

I always hit the same problem too, I end up faffing about trying to the jack in the right place to allow me get my axel stands in once it's in the air, drives me up the wall! That's part of the reason I want something like the beam.
It'd be perfect if you could then put your axel stands straight under the beam once the car is jacked up but I get the feeling they aren't designed to be used like that

Edit:
004.jpg maybe they are...

I have one of those beams, it is made by draper or at least has their name on it. I still have to jack the mini up some then manoeuvre the beam in place because the car is so low. As a result it never gets used.

I am going to get something like this. Tryingg to get a car in the air with just a jack and axle stands is a real pain for me recently. Running around the car adjusting the jackstand position, sliding the jack form left to right. and then repeat to lower the car again.

This looks like a great solution.
