Check the top engine steady between the cylinder head and the bulkhead just under the clutch master cylinder.
Physically grab the engine (when its cooled down and off), and give it a shove. If it moves a lot, the bushes in the steady are goosed.
Easy to change and cheap.

It happens on acceleration, cruising and deceleration but not while the car is stationary and revving. The noise sounds like putting a piece of paper in a spinning fan if that makes sense!!Does it get more rapid as the refs go up? Or does it happen on acceleration and decceleration?

Thanks. Tried this but seems pretty tight, only very minimal movement.Check the top engine steady between the cylinder head and the bulkhead just under the clutch master cylinder.
