I just got the very sad news that Kevin, with whom I rallied in the Big 240Z and in many other cars, passed away this morning.
He was a superb driver and was 2nd in the 1975 Motoring News Rally Championship with the 240Z. I've lost a great friend as well, but my thoughts are of the fun we had rallying together for many years at all levels.

Thanks Keith.
I last spent time with Kevin last year when he asked me to go and look at/buy a beautiful 1964 Mini Traveller. I did a deal for it and Kevin came up from Wales to collect it the following week.
This car is up for auction at Silverstone on the 25th of this month, but I don't know what will happen now.
To sit with him and read the maps or the pace notes in the 240Z with all the power the works cars had was a pleasure and a privilege I'll never forget.
His first International Rally was the 1971 Welsh which he did in a Cooper 'S'. Out of the car we had such fun together, like leaving a night club near Heathrow in my XJ6 with Kevin driving, getting on the M4 and doing the 32 miles to Kevin's turn off in 16 minutes! He was always fun to be with, in or out of the car.
