Hi All,

Just a quick one, need a permanent live off the Fuse box on my '89 998.

Can anyone point me to which one or anywhere else I can safely wire one in?

Thanks in advance

There should be a terminal with Purple Wires to it, That is a fused permanent live.

The Brown on terminal 3 is the unfused feed coming in from the starter solenoid where all the permanent lives join, it depends what you are doing with it as to what you do next?

Cheers guys, I intend to run a second 6 fuse box inside under the lower dash rail, to run the modern stereo, clock and USB Charger point. Was thinking of running additional gauges off it, but they don't require a permanent live.

You could actually run another cable neatly from the solenoid then and make sure you use a gromitt where it comes through the bulkhead, that would save adding extra load to the existing fuse box feed cable and you could even put an inline fuse in the engine bay to isolate the new fuse box too.

Depends on the stereo really...from what you have listed 15 amp should cover it

by the way I have done something similar before and I mounted the additional fuse box on a hinged panel that flapped down for viewing and access

There is a 20amp in the back of the stereo, so a 15amp down the line would suffice.

Now time to install it all

Thanks for all your help guts
