This is one of the reasons why follower radius is even more important.

I think we may disagree on this point ? however the only grinds that should have a taper are for use with roller followers, the Grinds for use with (so called) 'flat face' followers must have a taper, this is to reduce wear and encourage follower rotation.

Fair enough AC, we did look at that style of a grind over 25 years ago, and haven't used it since.
For the record, I did work closely with the late Burt Jones and also Ken Waggot's company.
