both

o.k so i dont want to bugger up the handling by chopping off to much of the shell i think im going to keep the cutting to

composite roof
grp front
cut away door bins and the seat back to the heal board.

Should be plenty of other places i can save weight in the suspension and brakes

This is one of the best place to remove weight, it will improve the handling no end. Nice light 10 inch wheels, and i mean proper light wheels, ally calipers ( two pots would be more than up to the job and lighter than the four pot) ally drums, ally radius arms, rear beam conversion and ally hubs.

How well do you know your bank manager? :)

Classic. When I think all the cutting I did cost a few grinding wheels and all the suspension lightening cost thousands. I don't know what is more stisfying, spending money on shiney parts or knowin that you dont have to pick up the grinder again!!

Shiney gets it every time for me. Thing is thought most of these shiney bits end up in places you rarely see them

Best way to lighten your mini is to phone KAD! :)

Strange thing is that it lightens your mini by exactly the same amount as your wallet... :-

I have thought alot about lightening my mini, but there is not much point, seeing as I am probably the heaviest mini driver around!

As MS has said though, reducing unsprung weight is far more effective for handling.
