I ran the car with my finger blocking the purge outlet on the manifold. It didn't change the idle one bit so my leaks not from there. Still curious about the coolant sensor. It has a large effect on fueling.

So this morning, I've removed the inlet manifold.
Stepper looks like.....

Seems good to me, though there looks like there was fluid in here at some point.
Had a look at the TPS
The little arm from this sensor was bent backwards. Over time this must have moved. I have found a sensor for sale online, so will probably replace this as a precaution. But this one looks ok and the computer says so also.
Looking into the inlet, it had what looked like oil inside it. I know the breathers root into this, but there was a lot. I pushed a clean rag into the inlet ports in the head and the rag came out black.
Its not oil but more sticky! Looking at the spacer between the throttle body and manifold, looks like someone put a sealant/gasket of some sort on there. It's obviously not worked well with the fuel and run inside the head. Would this be an issue?
Ive pushed a rag with degreaser on it into the head and there seems to to be fair amount inside it.
Surely it would be over kill to remove the head?
And the lambda, looks ok although Ive a Bosch one ordered just incase. I was expecting it to be black from the gasket being burnt but it looked normal.
Just thought i'd update.

Thanks, Ive just done that. Looks like its in fine order.
Had look inside the head with a torch and mirror. On the 4th cylinder the stem at the back has a small dot of liquid (oil?) on it.
Should I be worried with this? Heres a photo...
The rest of the exhaust cylinders look dry and sooty.
The inlets are all brown (like someone has coated them with oil). Heres photo..

Here you can see the inlet manifold was very brown inside..

I'm just making sure before I start putting it back together

Final one for now, but heres the underside of the TPS. The arm on the sensor was bent backwards, but Ive straightened it up now..

If theres anything off with any of these, please comment. Cheers
