Hi;

Do I need to Loctite the Screw that holds the Rear Drum in place?? If so what grade / type of Loctite?

Once the Wheels on I guess it ain't going anywhere.

Thanks

You've answered your own question, however I just nip them up.

No worries chap. I personally use a dab of copper grease to make sure they come off in the future.

I would have thought with your salted roads over there that the screw was unnecessary as they rust would hold it on. :-) :-)

Depends if it's been fit correctly in the first place, i.e. used a bit to grease on the mating surface of the flange.

Just on that note. Did the early mini's have the thin gasket between drum and flange, like old morrie's and A30's?

Screws are a good idea.

If u loose a wheel the screws keep the drum in place. Without the drum the brake cylinder will push too far and you will loose brakes (to some extent depending on brake system)

So a smear of Copper Grease between the mating surfaces of the hub and the drum?

Only a little. It saves beating the pants out if it in the future to get it to shift.

I also never fit those screws. They do nothing and are a right PITA when they get rusted in.
