In regards to the subframe, a company called minitech, out of Georgia, makes a d series subframe. I have one in my roundnose and it works great. Takes a little bit of fiddling in order to get the suspension right, but overall a great "drop in" solution. Comes with the frame, coil over mounts, custom axels, and a few other conversion bits. Here is their website: http://www.superfastminis.com/
There are also loads of people who have modified the original subframe, which allows you to retain the original mini suspension, rather than going to the full custom adjustable suspension with coil overs. Also, if you have the skills, building your own subframe could save you a wad of cash.

Been collecting parts, even if they're not needed for a while
Brought some trunnions and started to converted the rear subframe to a beam set up
Seam welded the rear tubs and will strengthen the top mounts too
Started on the rotten boot floor to rear panel
Saw a few bits round the rear subframe mounts so it ended up like this
Also welded some reinforcement into the heelboard for the rear beam to bolt to. Hopefully be a bit more consistent with progress from now on
