Hi im hoping someone can shed some light on this situation

Today whilst taking my dog for a walk past a derelict mill i spotted a mini hiding inside, the mill has been derelict for 15+ years, the mini is covered in rubbish and graffiti but the shell is really good nick(rust wise) other than where some scruff has jumpped up and down on the roof. It still has subframes and a complete engine , and the room its in looks like it used to be a garage/workshop and there is also another car in there

My question is how would i go about claiming/ buying it ? Im guessing i cant just take it as its not mine to take (yet) has anyone been in this situation or know what steps to take in to getting it

Cheers for the advice the mini has no registered keeper, i phoned god knows how many estate agents to see if anyone knew who owed the mill which was a bust. I contacted the local coucil again no luck.i then applied to land reg for the owners details it cost me £15, after an hour drive today i went to his address where he said he was happy for me to take it as long as i keep intouch with the progress i have also been given writen permission to enter the building and take it. Not bad for £15 :)

Nice one - full marks for perseverence!
Just out of interest what is the other car that's there?

The shell itself looks fu**ed but when looking at it its mainly surface rust where the 30 layers of bushed in paint have flaked off

The shell is obviously going to need some work but from looking at it i dont think its going to need much guess we shall see when its been sand blasted

Watch out for sharps inside in case any druggie types had been in the building.

Nice find and should make a good project.
