Ace story - glad yousnaged to get the shell :)
Looks to me like it was being prepped for something, mini-X maybe? No light apertures front or rear, and door tops cut (but not yet welded)
Like someone else said, engine could be interesting ;)

A really nice find. I was thinking it may have been officially scrapped or something if it had been donated for grass tracking? I don't fully understand all the rules around that area though...
Good lock with the progress. Judging from the twisted front, it might be worth checking that the shell is completely straight, or at least can be straightened. I'd hate to see you spend all that time and effort on it to find out it's creased or something.
Looks a great project though.
