Ace story - glad yousnaged to get the shell :)

Looks to me like it was being prepped for something, mini-X maybe? No light apertures front or rear, and door tops cut (but not yet welded)

Like someone else said, engine could be interesting ;)

I have been talking to the owner of the mill and once apon a time where the mini was in the mill was a youth center where cars where donated and then made into grass trackers, today iv nade a start on it by cutting the n/s a panel and wing off as the local scruffs had kicked it in and also popped the roof back into shape. Looking foward to cracking on with it shame my garage is now full so working in it is going to be fun

It will be amazing to see this back on the road! Has it got any vin plates to use to apply for the V5?

What a great way of finding/rescuing a Mini - can't wait to see the progress of this!

A really nice find. I was thinking it may have been officially scrapped or something if it had been donated for grass tracking? I don't fully understand all the rules around that area though...

Good lock with the progress. Judging from the twisted front, it might be worth checking that the shell is completely straight, or at least can be straightened. I'd hate to see you spend all that time and effort on it to find out it's creased or something.

Looks a great project though.
