Roughly How Much Bhp Will I Be Producing?

Best Answer Anthony30 , 19 September 2015 - 12:48 PM

55-60 BHP. The spec you listed is a little vague, and your not taking engine wear into consideration. :tumble: I'm assuming the head was heavily skimmed, and the compression ratio was calculated, and you didn't just fit the head, and hope it runs ok.

No genuine standard 998 engine has 50bhp. ;D

Ok factory stock A+ high comp 998's will push 40 - 42bhp when tuned properly on a dyno and in good condition. Fitting a stage 1 kit and dyno tuning again would usually push this to 46 - 48bhp. Fitting a ported head and retaining the standard valve would raise this to 51 - 52bhp. Fit a fast road cam and a big valve head would push this to 58 to 62bhp.
