Hi All,
I put brand new Falken 165/65 R12s, on my 89 998, roughly 8 weeks ago. They now resemble racing slicks!! Obviously a suspension issue, to be investigated.
So which tyres do you have and how long do they last?

Wear is on the outside, literally the tyre is half and half, so no donuts by me lol.
How do you adjust the camber? I will get the garage to do wheel alignment when they fit the new tyres, just interested.

Mine wear on the inside edge like this, running 1.5 negative camber bottom arms, but I think it's more to do with my toe in/toe out, and not just negative camber alone, as this happened pretty quickly and it drives like poop and stevie wonder could see the toe out from the front.

I've done about 8 or 9k on my 539's, they're still very legal.

I've noticed my steering has got gradually worse as the tyres have worn away.
What is the correct camber and toe in? I have no doubt the garage will ask, what I want it set to.

I've got this

Thanks for that RossKnight. Interesting bit at the bottom about rubber cones, I suspect that my rubber cones need replacing as my mini has a raked looked, which might be (pls correct if wrong) putting more downward pressure through the front tyres, which could be causing the camber to be out.....

4 years and about 10k on my falkens and still look almost new! Will need to get new ones because of age rather than wear I think.
Same, as the sidewalls on mine, the ones oddly not sat in the sun all the time are starting to crack quite badly.

My Yoko A008s are 11 years old!!!! and still have loads of tread - obviously don't do enough miles! Really mean to change them as they arent exactly sticky anymore in the wet!
