This is probably a call out to guessworks or one of the other top people

I have been offered a SC/CR box with drops for a reasonable price, however its over in deepest darkest wales and looking at it would be a bit of a journey especially if its screwed!!

Ive got a few photos of it which i will post up , is there anything from a photo i can use to distinguish the wear of the gears? I have been told the gearset is a nearly new minisport set and the drops have about 15K of use!

Any help is most appreciated as I need to get the box for my clubby before Castle coombe.

Cheers all

Gaz

Can't see any evidence of chipping on the dog teeth, and the colour of the single roller bearing shows that it hasn't been in there too long..

Can't quite make my mind up whether it's a clubman or full gearset, but would suspect clubman...

do you know what sort of diff it has (x-pin, or Comp diffpin)...

s/h I would not pay more than 400

Hi there

Its currently got a standard 3.4FD diff with a hardened pin , although he does have x pin diff which he wants 120 or so for it but I might just buy a new one for that price.

I will ask him if the laygear is part of the kit or if it is the standard one.

Hes wanting 650 for the box which i thought was a bit much as i could buy the new gearset and drops for that! Should I offer him 400+ and see what he says?
