Hi there. You took the trouble to answer my question on buying or restoring my Mini so thanks for that. I am near Dorchester so not too far away. Is this your address? Golden Hill Park PO40 9UJ Freshwater

As you are just starting out you deserve a bit of business to get you going. Would you like to quote me for the work I want done on my car? If so I can send you some photos and we can chat on the phone. Just reply to this post and I will give you a call.

Failed miserably to upload some photos. However I think one of the sills is covering some nasty stuff. On one side the sills have openings - presumably to let water out. The other side does not but there is a rusty hole in it. I sent you an email via your website. I can send photos via email.

So with the completion of a Sportspack Mini and an MGB the last few months, we have now moved onto the first of three T2 Bay campers which we will be restoring.

Here is a few shots of the current one we are doing.

This one will be having a new front, new lower sides, rear corners and repairs to the window frames too.

The sliding door is shot to bits but new ones are unavailable so we will be repairing the original one by fabricating sections and welding them in. Repairs are also required to the front doors, tailgate, engine lid and front steps.

It will be re-painted in a custom finish which at them moment is going to be Pearl white with pink flake but the customer is still deciding.

As usual feel free to give us a call if you require a quote for any work on your Mini or other classic.

Cheers

Ben

all of these areas apart from the window frames were very well hidden under lots of filler.

Ill pop up some more pictures once the repairs are completed.

Camper van is going to be continued next week. It is currently sitting untouched as the owner has had to stall the project due to personal problems.

We don't just do classic car restoration...

This time, we have more of a rusteration  ;D

Typical MB commercial rust. Our customer wanted the rust fixing and then a colour change. It is to be used as a surfing van and will be ready for it's first trip to the west country in 2 weeks time.

I rebuilt the front of the sills and the jacking points, cleaned and scoured out all of the surface rust and treated it and also rebuilt the bottoms of all the doors as well as a pair of new front wings.

I also rebuilt the inner and outer part of one of the rear doors around the top hinge as it had rusted out and pulled through so the door hung off the vehicle when you opened it  O_O

Should be complete by Tuesday bar some mechanical work and an MOT.

The customer is supplying a new set of alloys to go on it too

Hi guys.

Not a lot going on restoration wise for the past few months.

We have now moved into a new unit and are just putting the finishing touches to the spray booth so will be fully up an running mid next week.

We have just taken on a recommission of a Mk1 Golf GTI which has begun this week in between other jobs. This is going to be stripped back and resprayed as well as any repair work that needs doing.

So far, it seems to be the sunroof aperture, the inner wings, the classic torn bulkhead around the clutch cable and a rear wheel arch starting to go.

There is another Mini in the pipeline so hopefully soon, ill be able to give some Mini based updates to this thread.

Cheers

Ben

Ben, loving the work still! Really tempted just to go strip the mini and get the shell off to you guys. I can get pics to you guys when I'm next with the car, but have you got an email address I can send them off to with other plans so I can get a rough costing?

Sure thing Steve. Send the photos together with a description of what you require doing to [email protected]. Just pop F.A.O bodyshop in the subject box so it gets to me.

Look forward to seeing them.

Cheers

Ben
